03.04.2024 - 07.04.2024 The 2024 Annual Congress of the Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS)

 

The Schizophrenia International Research Society (SIRS) is a worldwide organisation that aims to bring together researchers and clinicians in schizophrenia and related disorders to exchange the latest research advances, promote the highest scientific and ethical research standards, commit to principles of fairness and equity, promote diversity and inclusion in research, foster the development of future generations of scientists, and increase the public understanding of the personal, familial, and societal impact on people with the diagnosis of schizophrenia and related disorders. 

The 2024 Annual SIRS Congress was held from 3 to 7 April at the Firenze Fiera Congress Centre in Florence, Italy. With a theme of ‘Responding to Challenges in a Changing World’, SIRS 2024 aimed to facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge scientific knowledge related to schizophrenia, improve treatment, and support individuals affected by this and concomitant conditions. SIRS 2024 covered a variety of topics through numerous oral and poster presentations, plenary sessions, symposia, and more.
